violent repose
This project draws inspiration from the Japanese concept of Inemuri, the act of sleeping in public as a sign of extreme dedication. But here, sleep is no longer a composed, integrated, or accepted gesture. It’s a violent, unfiltered collapse — a body surrendering to sleep in the heart of urban chaos, surrounded by asphalt, metal, and noise.
In these images, the Inemuri become borderline figures: bodies clad in leather and chains, giving in to sleep right in the middle of the city — silent witnesses of a society that refuses to acknowledge exhaustion. This is not a tribute. It’s a dirty reinterpretation, born from a reality where every pause is seen as weakness and every exposed body becomes an invountary statement.
